This weekend Shannon Hubbell, La Donna Pietra, and myself got together and chatted about film adaptations, specifically about a few of the many that we like, and a couple that we don’t. We also talk about the difficulty in general with adapting works from other mediums into film given the very different narrative needs, and storytelling mechanics, as well the difficulty in being a fan of a work that has been adapted in ways that are maybe not up to our standards.
